Certification

With advances in the area of anesthesia, technical improvement and greater control of postoperative pain, surgical procedures performed in ambulatory facilities have been increasing in Brazil. With respect to strict inclusion criteria, a greater number of patients can recover more quickly and more comfortably in their own homes, without the need for hospitalization.

Ambulatory surgery has been transforming the health landscape as a high-quality, low-cost alternative for many cases. Patient preference and the need to lower healthcare costs continue to fuel the growth of these services.

The partnership between the Brazilian Society of Ambulatory Surgery (SOBRACAM) and IQG, for the development of the Certification program for Distinguishing Ambulatory Surgery Services, aims to strengthen this transformation of the care model and work on the physical and technical structure of the services, the training of multidisciplinary teams, the flows, the integration and interaction of the pre, intra and postoperative periods. The objective is to seek not only the best cost results, but also to generate value for the patient.

IQG’s Certification by Distinction for Ambulatory Surgery Services program and its implementation model are unique in Brazil.
